Contemporary engagement with notions of representation, race, and culture by Indigenous photographers is producing some of the most exciting art currently on the market. For this reason Horsham has been slowly building a discrete collection of contemporary Indigenous photography. The works have not been collected with an overt notion of thematic development. Rather, each artist stood out from the crowd at the time of purchase for the quality of their work and the conceptual strength of their project, and ultimately its ability to operate within the existing collection.

| This exhibition highlights works that have gradually emerged as a distinct strength within Horsham’s photography collection. |
