BEQUESTS
Make a Bequest
You can make a bequest by leaving a gift to the Gallery in your will.
Bequests may involve:
A gift of a specific amount of money
The residuary of an estate
A percentage of an estate
Gifting an asset like property, artworks, or shares etc.
We encourage you or your legal advisor discuss your intention to make a bequest to the Gallery with us prior to doing so.  This helps confirm that the Gallery is in a position to comply with any terms in accordance with your wishes.

Directions expressed in general terms provide an unrestricted bequest, allowing the Gallery flexibility in the application of the future gift.

When a specific purpose is designated in the will, we recommend including a provision which authorises our Trustees to apply the bequest in another manner should it become impractical or impossible to apply the bequest for the purpose prescribed in the will.
